Citroen C3 WRC passes Rally Deutschland test

RO18WRC09GER1215-1

At the recent WRC Rally Deutschland, Team Citroen

WRT once again showcased the qualities of its C3 WRC, claiming one stage win and setting several consistent times.

Although the team didn’t get the results they were hoping for, the C3 WRC still proved to be competitive. Drivers Craig Breen and Mads Østberg gave their all, but only Breen was able to come up with a stage win (SS11) and he also produced several impressive times. Day two was productive for the C3 WRCs as Mads Østberg climbed to third overall, but Breen dropped from sixth to tenth, due to a mistake.

The final leg didn’t favor the C3 WRCs at all as Østberg went off track on the opening stage. On the other hand, Breen made an interesting comeback on the final sage to finish seventh, with fourth place finish in the Power Stage.

The team now stands fourth in the WRC Manufacturers standings. The Rally of Turkey is next on the agenda for Citroen WRT, from 13-16 September 2018.
